Stayed May Bank Holiday weekend

Dear Marie and Graham,

We just wanted to send an email to say a huge thank you for making us (and our dog) so welcome over the bank holiday weekend. The food was absolutely amazing – even the breakfasts were special! Everyone was really friendly, the walks were great and the pub quiz was good fun. The Arncliffe Arms is the perfect place to indulge in lots of walking, eating and drinking – sorry we kept you up so late!

Just had to email you straight away to say what a fantastic time we have had this weekend! Thank you for making us feel so welcome in your lovely pub! Can I also mention how fantastic the food was it really was quite something! We will defiantly recommend you to friends and family as everything was excellent!

We stopped by your pub a few Sundays ago and am I glad we did! Honestly, I’ve never had a better Sunday roast anywhere. Next time we are up north we’ll be back.

Whilst visiting relatives in the village, we called in and had a top notch bar meal followed by the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever had in my life – Fantastic food !!!!

Being near the area my wife and I regulary go to Witby and the surrounding areas. We had a plesant surprise when we stoped of for a bar meal and hope to possibly stop overnight in the near future.

Live in Stockton just close enough to travel for a meal, but this place is so good and friendly we usually end up staying overnight. Food is brilliant and good value, overnight accomodation superb. Cannot praise the staff from top to bottom enough. We are now regular committed visitors.

Graham, Marie and all their staff are excellent hosts. We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay in January. Great food, great company and superb breakfasts. We plan to return shortly.

Being a “local” I am delighted to have somewhere like this on my doorstep. On one hand, for the purists, there is the traditional country Pub complete with ales, open fire, great food, weekly quiz, occasional live music etc. On the other, down the stairs in Café Glas there is a fresh contemporary feel where the atmosphere completely changes and the food is sensational. The problem is, I don’t much feel like going out of Glaisdale now!

Stayed in the area with friends and sampled both Café Glas and the bar for meals. Excellent for both with Café Glas being top quality cuisine worthy of the Covent Garden area for quality and atmosphere.
